I've looked around the forum for some info on scrapers or 6x6 trucks. I read comparisons on pull vs motor scrapers,but was interasted in the comparison with motor scrapers and trucks. We have mostly hard red clay or limestone rock. On our past projects we have such a high volume of rock that it is 75% drill and shoot. We run trucks and excavators now for this reason. We are looking at some projects out of our normal area and the bore logs show all clay. The average job for us is 50,000cy's. We mostly do pads and roads. I've been trying to do some research on the cost of a scraper set up and any feed back would be helpfull. Thanks
