Anyone have any experience with screw pilings? Would a piling 6ft deep with a 14 in helix carry 7000 lbs?
I saw it done the first time about a year ago. Strange idea. Our part of the job had 18" drilled piers down to 40 to 50 feet. These were about a 6" pipe with 6" flights. Some one with a rubber stamp design it, so i guess they do the same job.
I know enough about helical piers to be dangerous. That being said I believe the size and depth of the helical depends on soil conditions and designed load capacity.
You can try sending a PM to Nac.
