Everything I find on the 580b serial number starts with an 8. My numbers I can find all start with 5252042 and 5291188. Maybe they aren't tractor numbers. Any help will be appreciated.
Notes in my owners manual said the tractor# starts with an 8 (on right side of steering column) the hoe attachment # starts with a 5. I don't know where that # is. Vern
Your owners manual is correct. The tractor serial number is on the steering column. It should start with an 8. The backhoe serial number should be on a tag on the control tower.
Thanks that is where it was. I had been seeing the other numbers and hadn't seen the one on the steering column.
