I have a 1950 Massey 40b loader. It has a 3 cylinder perkins diesel. I need to redo the crank and bearings. I cannot find the serial number.. Can someone help?
It's the engine serial number you need. Look on the Perkins site. Joe H
Not sure what you have for a tractor as a Massey 40B was made 1976-1982 plus or minus a few years. However if you do have a Massey 40B the engine is a 4.203. https://www.enginebuildermag.com/2009/11/perkins-engine-serial-number-information/ The tractor serial number is on a plate on the vertical part of the lower left dash.
