machine burnt a starter up. i got a new one now i have no start from the key can jump it at the starter and it'll start i get power to the cluster from turning the key on. the starter come with a relay on it. it looks to me like the machine already had one on it as well the old starter had the same situp
Went through this on a kobelco 210. Installed a new starter with a soft start relay on it and had a no start with the new starter motor. I ended up having to add a ground to the soft start relay to engine block to solve the issue.
thank you i believe it ended up being one of the two starter relays from the looks of this it should only have one starter relay? that's how i have it wired up now with the first of the two relays bypassed and the signal wire going to the relay on the starter. im not sure if they replaced the starter and just kept two relays or what. the old one is shot on the machine. wiring on this thing has been a nightmare and its already my weak point lol.
This might be the case, where someone had issues in the past and added a separate starting relay.
