My guess is the hydraulic pump is mounted to the bell housing with seal leaking into tranny

That would be my guess also

Would it be costly to repair?? Or is this an easy fix????

It sounds simple on the internet depending on how big that pump is, installation is reverse of removal. Is your hydraulic fluid level dropping?

Oh yes!!! Can’t Keep fluid in it!!!! The higher I rev engine the more it spews!!!

Pump is gone and dumping into Transmission. Will need new pump. Have seen it lots of times on those style units. Hyd. fluid goes down and tranny goes up. Simon

But it still lifts as it should!!! Very strong!!!

It might be possible to rebuild pump with new seal but not knowing what type of pump it is that would just be a guess!

I had the same situation, it was a commercial gear pump and pump had some wear but hydraulic shop said it was ok so we put a new seal in and it seems fine now.

I suppose a backwoods fix would be to put the vent line into the hydraulic oil fill port.

Well if I had a few weeks left in the working season I would be tempted to do that just to get the work done then pull it in the barn and fix it during the winter.
