Hello guys I am slowly getting my 1956 hd11 dozer together . I am just about to order parts to put the steering clutch assembly back together & am not sure if i need to replace the steering clutch pressure springs. The book call for 335-365 pounds new or reasonably close I tested these springs at a friends place at 295-300 I use this machine moderately. Should I replace these or not ? Thanks, Shane.
I would not worry about the springs the only time we ever replaced any of them is if they were broke or you could see there was a BIG difference in the height of them from one to the other
