stiff clutch pedal

Hello, im a new member here and have a question, I picked up a john deere 355d track loader in decent condition, it has only been used maybe 10 hours in 5 plus years, the one issue im having is the clutch pedal on the left side is very stiff, you have to pull it back by hand as the spring wont do it, I tried to work some lubricant on the pedal shaft and bushing, but seems about the same..any ideas if it could be something internal under the bell housing? thank you for any info in advance...

some pics of new to me track loader I fixed the stiff clutch pedal, some torch heat on the shaft sleeve and lots of penetrating oil and now it moves like its suppose to. all new teeth and some shanks on the bucket, general cleanup and maintenance, one issue was with the right tract tension spring, the rear cap broke and let the spring decompress, so the track wouldnt hold correct tension, took it all apart, welded a new flange on the center part of the cap, first cleaned it up in the metal lathe to get a clean edge to weld on( yes I know to be careful about the tension), luckily the spring only had to be compressed an inch or so to get it into spec on the compressed length , all the other parts where in good condition. its all back together and works as it should. spent some time cleaning up all the broken off bolts in the spring covers and a few more on the belly pan. welding nuts onto the broken bolts works great to get them out..now its time to use it and see what else may need some tending to...

nice machine. And you can only edit for an hour after posting, then the edit option goes away. and you can't edit pictures once they're up. The edit post is to the left of the reply and reply with quote under your post, but only for an hour...
