I have a 312cl and it is acting up when u go to swing around, sometimes it just locks up,any help?
Does this have anything to do with prv silenoid
Is it making any grinding, growling, or banging noises when you do swing? If not then it's likely you have a problem with the swing brake coming on....
Try knackered swing box in the trouble shooting spot, as that is the most probable answer. tctractors
No noise of any kind,it will just stop, then give it a min and will work again but only for a min or so
No noise of any kind,it will just stop, then give it a min and will work again but only for a min or so what would cause brake to come on?
Pretty new excavator for a swing box to go bad. You should probably check the oil in the swing reducer. If that is good you can check the switches through the monitor panel. A bad solenoid or relay should have tossed a fault code.
Ok we have had a guy from cat come check this thing out and he has been there two days and found nothing, you can flip bypass switch and will work fine, without bypass switch flipped you have to work it for a bit before it locks up. Any ideas?
Sounds like a faulty sensor somewhere giving the computer a false reading....
change the little green switch on the front of the control valve
And what is the greenvswitch?
swing brake release
Ok now is this a switch to be flipped or replaced
replace
The cat guy changed that switch, works fine so far
glad you got it fixed
