Wondering if anyone has came across the same trouble with their skidsteer and possibly some advice. It started a couple weeks ago - when you look at the hyd. sight glass the oil level is correct , run it a little and none is showing , run it some more and it shows full agian. This doesnt happen on a consistant basis , it may do it a few times a day and then maybe not for a couple days. We are running in a extremely dusty environment and i was thinking maybe a vent was stopping up , but i havent found one . The ground is level so it isnt from that and i dont see any leaks . We pressure washed it really good and nothing looks out of place. any advice would be very appreciated.
You probably have the cylinders open on the tilt or the arms raised slightly this will lower the level in the sight glass as some of the oil is used up in the cylinders. As soon as the tilt is curled back up or the arms are lowered the level will return in the sight glass.
Thought of that but when i get out the arms are all the way down and rolled back - makes it easier to get in and out.

proper oil level in the middle of the sight glass machine parked on level ground, boom down, bucket level on the ground. the hyd tank vent is located under the cab, routed along the wiring harness going up to the cab, connected to a hose running from the top of the hyd tank. hyd oil temp plays a major factor in the sight glass level. :drinkup
