could use some help. my TB045 steel track is way too tight. tried backing off grease nut to release pressure, but didnt do anything. does anyone have any ideas as to how to loosen my steel track?
take the grease fitting out completely, put a block infront of the track and SLOWLY move the machine forward and that should collapse the track in, have someone watch whats going on and see if the piston moves in and the grease comes out....that should do it...
Watch from an angle, sometimes that grease can shoot several yards when it decides to come out. Probably not dangerous, but messy!
thanks guys, i will try it today !
Check the bolt that goes through the recoil spring. It may have broken. I've seen this a number of times and the grease won't come out of the adjuster.
I just had that on my john deere track loader...easy way to tell if you have a broken or detentioned spring is to jump hard on the top of the track and if the front roller comes back, you got a problem..
Thanks to all! we got the tracks to loosen and everything good again. Great site!
