Has any one got pictures of cable operated international td 9 overloaders, overshot or backloaders? I think arround 1940s--1950s .
the td 9 is a 1940s international crawler/tractor/dozer with a factory or after market attachment to make it into an over throw/overloader/overshot/rear loader operated via two cables thru a Letourneau pcu. The serial number is worn but what i can get from it is S ? 7240, what i need is age of the machine as well of any photos of similar units
Yair . . . td 9 crawler Can't help you with pictures but those overloaders were fairly common in the 1950's and fairly effective. The ones I remember were mainly on Allis Chalmers probably HD9's or there abouts. Operating them would be an acquired art and a dusty occupation. Cheers.
thanks , A couple of old blokes in my area who drove the Allis Chalmers remembered them as hd 7s , there is an operating Allis at the Melbourne Steam Museum ,but the frame is different then mine i will keep looking and some one might have pictures. Do you collect old internationals as well?
