Terex CEO Ron DeFeo, speaking at a J.P. Morgan investor conference September 16, said the company would be looking closely at selling significant parts of its construction equipment business. The company is unlikely to sell its aerial work platform business (Genie), crane, mining and materials processing businesses because they are "market leaders" with strong profitability histories. “We’ve never really demonstrated an ability to be meaningfully profitable and successful in this [construction equipment] business,” he said. “We're in the process of fixing, merging or selling [elements of] this business, with the emphasis on “fixing” today and the prospect of moving some of these assets to different owners or in different places over the next couple of years, maybe sooner.” He kind of presold a couple of German companies -- Atlas and Schaeff -- that Terex bought, and signaled a change in strategy from consolidator to specialist (at least until the industry gets a handle on what the Chinese are up to). Pretty interesting stuff. Don't see much Terex stuff here.... i have seen a few cranes
So reading the article they are looking to offload their construction class excavators both tracked and wheeled, and their wheel loaders. So this would mean they are planing to keep their heavy and mining excavtors, off highway trucks, graders, and backhoes, right. Just wanna make sure i read it right.
Hmm... interesting...

They may just be putting that press release out there about the Chinese to keep Doosan honest.
They dumped their telehandler business to Skyjack recently.
