Perseverence finally paid off! Gave it a good work over with the torch, tightened the puller as far as I dared, then just let it set for about 15 minutes. A little extra leverage on the breaker bar from a short length of pipe and it popped right off!!! Lucky me...... Now to finish removing the sheet metal shroud so I can sand and prep for paint.
