I recently purchased an older model PC50 at auction and used it a few times this summer. Now it's winter and cold (around freezing), and after installing a block heater I've managed to get it started, but for some unknown reason the throttle lever won't advance past the idle position. It just stops like there's a mechanical lockout on it. Any ideas on what is going on?
A few quick checks! There maybe an idle down button you may have bumped on the top of left joy stick, or the stepping motor that pulls the throttle linkage maybe frozen or sticking, also if the wires going to that steppping motor are broke or loose it will not work. Oh ya, you may need to check the fuse for the step motor. Hope this helps!
you should be able to rig the throttle sylenoid. you can let the machine warm up at idle then wire that baby togther untill you get the parts you need. good luck
