Hey guys long time lurker first time poster. Just a bit of background information. I have currently employed a new operator, who is a young enthusiatic worker (always at work early and keen to work and learn) but is inexperienced. We mainly handle excavations for apartment blocks (3-4 level basements) and I am currently teaching him how to dig footings and trim walls for shotcreting on my 4.5t JCB before moving him up to something larger. I have given him the basics of taking his time, be aware of his surroundings and most importantly always to operate safely. Just wondering if you guys have any tips I could give him to help him boost his confidence and improve his skills as I feel there could be more for me to do.
