My gear number #1 upto #4 both forward and reverse is not working
Make, model, serial. Help us help you. Also, it sometimes matters which display you have. So, pictures are helpful
It is cat 140H. Sorry to ask this how do i know the serial number
Should be a tag on the frame showing CAT , the model number and a PIN or VIN or simply serial number.
Lots of CAT support here. I'm sure someone can point you in the right direction
Helo guys the serial number is 2ZK01278
Important question. Missing speeds 1-4 in Forward I can understand but at the same time I would expect that you would be missing speeds 1-3 in Reverse and not 1-4. Are you 100% CERTAIN that you are missing 1-4 in Reverse.? What does the oil in the transmission look and smell like.? Is is clear and bright or dark and cloudy.? Does it smell burned.?
Am certain of it. But yesterday the electrician examined to look for the problem. But now all reverse is not working and. The oil is new
I'll send you an electrical schematic. It sounds like your electrician is going to need one. Let me explain the reason for the 1-3 Reverse versus 1-4 question. The transmission has 8 forward speeds and 6 reverse speeds. There are two clutches on one of the shafts in the transmission. One is the Low Range clutch, the other is the High Range clutch. The Low Range clutch is engaged in speeds 1-4 in Forward and 1-3 in Reverse. The High Range clutch is engaged in speeds 5-8 in Forward and 4-6 in Reverse. Hopefully you can see the reason for my earlier question.
it would be helpful than u so much

I saw it thank u
Do u think the problem could be the control valve. Because he is saying so now. And how much is control valve. Am a little be doughtful
I think you are right to be doubtful. Try this as a suggestion. Have your mechanic/electrician exchange the complete solenoid valves between #7 and #8 stations at the bottom of the control valve. To do this first you will have to remove the Nut #3. This will allow the removal of the solenoid coil to gain access to the hexagon on the body of the valve. Make sure that both parts (solenoid coil and valve body) are exchanged between the two locations. DO NOT just interchange the solenoid coils.
