Im trying to dismantal a control valve to replace orings and seals. The nut holding the coil will spin the spool in the valve so not able to acsess the two bolts holding the cap that's leaking. If any one has experience this please help!
It is an older spade but very usefull
This is the cap im trying to remove and where the leak is! Any sigestions or advice is more the welcome Thanks Mike
While not familiar with that particular valve, how about a suggestion. Maybe try and hold the large washer? While turning that nut? Looking closer at the photo, not even sure it’s a nut on the spool? Either way, shouldn’t be too much holding the coil on.
It's defently strange? The nut will spin the spool in the valve, wish there was a way to hold the spool to remove the nut where the red is I belive its leaking! And wish could hold with a wrench.
Have you tried a little heat and maybe stick a big screwdriver between the side of the spool and cap screw?
Looking again, I would take that middle plug out between the fittings and see if there is a hole in the spool, to hold there.
