Hi We have got a problem in two of our rear dump trucks. :Banghead During unloading the truck, even though the truck hoisting has limiting mechanism through a limit switch and an air solenoid, the dump body is not stopping at the cut-off limit. It is suddenly pulled to the cylinder full length and this is causing a sudden impact/jerk which is felt by the operator in the cabin. The same machine hoist operation is stopping at the cut-off limit in the unloaded condition. The machine is not equipped with a counterbalance valve. But this kind of problem is not common to all the machines. Please suggest
As itis running out,how low is the fuild? It maybe getting air in the cylinder
That's kind of what I was thinking. If there is air in the cylinder, then the cylinder would be more likely to "bounce" like that, either because of highly compressed air, or just the cylinder not "holding" by vacuum. There's usually an air vent at the top of the cylinder to bleed air out, it won't flush out on it's own. Not sure exactly you'd bleed them safely? This assumes you have one way cylinders. No power down, right?
Fluid is right up to the level sir. Air bleeding is done from top air vent plug. Still the problem persists.
How can i upload the video, so that the exact problem can be seen..
