I keep blowing out the trans filter gasket in the A64! 3x in a row! On start trans pressure goes above safe zone (no numbers, just red(low)white(normal)red(high) on gauge. After 10 minutes the filter gasket blows out and all fluid dumps in 20 seconds. Repalced filter and gasket 3 times, same result. Replaced oil pickup tube (oil looked aerated), now oil looks perfect after warmup, level is right at full engine idle and warm. WHen trans was apart check passages and lines for obstructions and found absolutely nothing. In fact, the inside of this old beast looks brand new. Any ideas are welcome! THanks
Have you changed brands of filter's? Got a Cat 950 that will blow any but cat filters
i had a similar problem with the same transmission. Its in a terex loader, i was using napa filters and gaskets then they changed the type of rubber that they were using for o rings and the fluid was eating the rubber. I started using nylon rings, which were special made and the problem went away...
