Type of undercarriage

Can anybody explain what are the type of undercarriage available ? Explain the major difference between cat and komatsu under carriage.....

    It would depend on the machine. There a few types that I know of. Sealed grease track, Sealed and lubricated, Roller bushing track, or System one Cat. Most excavators and old dozer's run sealed. Most everyone runs sealed and lubricated on dozers now. I have seen roller bushing on some small and very large cat dozers, and System one also a roller bushing type link is what Caterpillar puts on most all of their dozers up to D7 and some D8's and track loaders at this time. I do not know much about Komatsu undercarriage, but Cat claims longer life and balanced wear with Case hardening and thorough hardening on it's components matched to evenly wear one another. Cat also claims the competitors do not have thorough hardened parts.
