Recently people have suggested that the Series 2000 Char-Lynn hyd motors on my snowblower are on the small side for the size of the skid I'm going to drive it with. Looking at the Eaton catalogue shows me that they make more robust larger capacity motors such as the 4000 series, 6000 series and also top of the line 10,000. The cost of the 4000 units is about $1000 and the 6000 units go for about $1500 not that bad. Contemplating changing the fan motor out to a 6000 series which is a 40 gpm motor (3000/4500psi) and keeping the original for a spare auger motor. My question - does anybody have experience with these motor series that they'd like to share before I go any further on this? The blower is a buhler 7424. Thanks.
