There are various types of grizzly bar static screen plants made, what has been your experience on the grizzly bars catching rocks between the bars? There are; straight bars, say 1 inch wide and 4 inches deep welded with 1 inch side up. square tubing bars welded with the flat side up. square tubing bars welded on an angle with the corner of the bars welded facing up. round pipe bars. "T" bars, a 2 inch flat bar welded onto a 1 inch thick bar 4 inches or so deep. What size grizzly bars, straight, square, pipe,"T" would work with a loader bucket of 2 CY capacity, with up to 18 inch rock slowing dropped on to the bars? Square tubing 1/4 thick wall would 2 inch work or is 3 inch needed? What do you like about static grizzly screens? What do you not like about static grizzly screens?

Hi Bob I fabricated and set up a grizzly separator on a local crushing plant to separate dirt and fines from quarried rock around 10 years ago, used 6 by 1 inch flat on edge and hardfaced the top edge, fabricated plate was around 2ft 6 square with the bars starting at 1 1/8 inch gaps splaying out to around 1 5/8 gaps at the lower end, set the plate on around a 30 degree angle and found that with the splayed bars the flow of rock over the plate would knock out pretty much most rocks that would occasionally get jammed as far as I know the unit is still in use at another site.
