Good Morning Gentleman, I have JD 318e that has a code VCU 91.04 code and it was a throttle pedal acceleration sensor 1 has less than 0.20 volts i order new pedal but gave me updated pedal still doesn't work i checked all 3 wires going to VCU and its confirmed i have a good continuity, i checked power and has 5 volt reference i connect the new pedal still doesn't work i still got the code please help if you have encounter this issue just take note that JD don't have the old pedal its been replaced with new one
Welcome to HEF Eze ! Will need a full serial number of the machine. That code is should be associated with the dial up in the dash.
Yeah its associated to the dial on the dash connected to ECM but like i said pedal connected to the VCM same function different controller but anyways heres the serial # 1T0318EJHFG282402
Thanks for the serial number. That code for that serial number is in fact for the pedal. With the new pedal installed and backprobing (carefully) it's connector, are there still 5V on the reference wire, less than 0.1V on the return wire (ground), higher than 0.2V on the signal wire? Also, press and hold the menu button until you are in service mode. Scroll to diagnostics, press enter, scroll to sensors, press enter, then scroll and check both the hand throttle readings and the foot throttle readings. They should show % and voltage. Post what you see.
the code still there and pedal doesn't work at all
i call JD parts department the pedal is correct base on the serial # i gave them but looks like they don't know what they doing i think they want there technician to fix it but i don't wanna do that am a mechanic myself not good to tell my boss need JD mechanic to fix it lol!! but sometimes you need to bite the bullet hahahahaha
