So did they hydraulic the engine? That won't be cheap....
Bad move trying to have it drive itself out, better to have let i sit like it was at first and drag it out like that, then a pressure washer may have taken care of it afterwards.
It was a real asset having a rock breaker on that machine.....
Don't think so - the house was clean, so no water in the intake or exhaust. So I guess this kid just walked on down into the trash water collection thinking he was supa-invincible man??
In the video a caption said the engine quit from the muddy water. Plus when they dragged it out the tracks weren't turning. Those were some good looking Cat machines though.
Would make an excellent training film for government workers. Using a $60,000 hammer to dig muck with, fire all of them!
take a look at my album here... http://s72.photobucket.com/albums/i182/dayexco/stuck/ competitor's machine, a 330, cleaning out farm stock dam, tried to dig himself out of a bowl of oatmeal instead of just "stopping" and getting machinery in right away to help him out....took a 330 kobelco, 300 komatsu, and a 200 kobelco to dig/drag him out.
:roll You said it, pal - and we'll keep paying. Heck...I saw one kid on this site say to "run the loose tracks on a soft downhill....;instant coffee break" Imagine that! Saw another kid write that he would rather run a 973 with worn tracks than "some piece of crap from the 90's" Imagine the guts of these kiddies.
Looks like all rental machines from the local Cat dealer in Las Vegas. That repair bill will make the cost of the extraction seem small. Hope the renter had his insurance paid up.
One can sure tell who owns equipment around here by the comments, the guys more concerned about the water in his britches than in the engine, run it tell it quits, not smart
Ain't that the truth... Hey, how about WE (yeah, WE:lmao) have 125 Cat 345's.....har har har. WE don't run those old junks - like these kids have ANY say whatsoever what machines turn up on the job.
i am 34. operating with a card since 18. and was joking. when i break **** i fix it. that is why i drive a service truck.
34?? I got underware older than you
What bothers me in these vidoes are how happy they all seem to be.I would have a hard time to make eye contact with anyone. They sure don't have the Boss(father) that i have.....i would be less worried about digging the machine out, and more digging his boot out.....If you know what i mean.
first off i want to say hello im new to the site and wow that thing was buried prety deep
you got that right not to bright
LMAO I have had almost that same experience years ago. I was our first 330C, best machine we had and dip-do drove it into a whole on Friday afternoon. He tried to get himself out and as always he just made it worse and didn't call for help until (imagine this) the engine shut down. Needless to say it was a long night of pumping, digging, sweating and cursing. Opened both finals and pulled the sun gears and a 330B drug it right out. Got off lucky with just an ECM and tear-down/clean engine. Why is it always on Friday afternoon?
