here are a few pics from my work area in the netherlands.
pics Thanks for posting the pics, we love pics, and it's already been a long winter so we aren't seeing much new stuff here!!! Also, I absolutely love fenders on a grader. I'm picky about keeping my machine clean and shiny and fenders would help that tremendously.
hello ovrszd! The fenders of this grader are original volvo fenders, the tandem drive fenders are made a bit wider because the originals are to narrow to fit over the wheels. I'm also searching for pics of the champion g726 series 4 I operated in the military, but here's already a fine pic with my grader on transport
Gotta admit, that blade doesn't look bad in that paint scheme. Keep up the work! :drinkup And of course, like said above, we're watching for more pics...
I found a few pics of the Champion grader...think I have some more at my other computer.
First, Welcome to the forum!:drinkup What modell is you operating? 946? Did the Volvo fenders have a drop in the midle between the tandems as the 726? Isn't it difficult to get to the lock for the batterybox and the toolbox? Looks to me that you where grading in an exersice area for the military.. Yellow and not green machines in the Army? Guess its your machine pictured at dumper.nl some time ago..
hey mktef. the machine i operate is a volvo g726b.Our company has 2 of these, made in 2003 and 2004.the rear fenders of these machines are straight, but there's a little opening for the locks for the battery's and toolbox.. The dutch army has 3 yellow machines(used for the operator school of engineers) and 3 green machines used for millitary operations:salute(all champions 726 vhp series 4,made in 1996). These pictures are made in a military training area in germany.
Nice. It looked like a 900 series on the enginehood..Firmpaint fooled me. Some pics of a grader in your paintschedule was posted on dumper.nl.. We had the 726's in service by the engineers untill last year.(exact same modell and year) Still got one in Afghanistan though, it costs too much to take that one home and send down one of our new 976's. Its a video of it on youtube if u search on my username. That training area looked familiar from one of my trips down to the Dutch Army. Had a visit to the training camp for your main battle tanks some years ago. Our "tank" roads get the exact same washboard as those pictured. It has something todo about balanse in the tank, it rocks easily forward and backwards.
pics Thanks for the pics again!!! I always enjoy seeing the differences in models depending on where they are being used. Also agree with Stretch, that paint scheme kinda grows on you.
Hello Willem , i have some pics of the Dutch army graders .
thanks for these pics Roel!the guy who's standing next to the operator is actually the dozer operator(seen in the background),and the grader operator could be me!think this pic is between 2003 and 2005
Hello Willem , The pics are made at the TKD in Wezep .
made some foto's today from the fenders on my grader..hope they are interesting.
...and found some more pictures of the champions g726 vhp series 4!:drinkup
fenders Thanks for the fender pics, I'm thinking about building some and this gives me a good starting place!!!!
Awesome pics, really neat color combo on the grader. Nice work as well. Trbo
little slope work (just for fun)
This evoked some memories. At that time, Dutch Army required all possible cold weather options (heater for the engine block, hydraulic oil, transmission sump, battery warmer, etc.) Sure enough, they were not available for European current of 220V. The large white box hanging on the L.H. side of the grader is actually transformer that the dealer installed to convert 220V to 110V needed for all of those heaters. I doubt that they were ever used...
haha you're right about that Old grader guy!Same story as the ether cartridge;never used in 13 years.
2x 726 search for the differences..
