Volvo EC290CL

So we have a new to us excavator Volvo EC290CL We replaced injectors they were stuck open ,Replaced computer on engine old one would blow fuse. The display looks new, turbo new. Fuse box assembly new. Will not start in auto mode but will in Manual and display works, once started and switched back to auto it may work may not and display goes out and may shut down. We also swapped relays around no change Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance. Kevin

    Does your machine have the E-stop switch by your left ankle. I have heard that they sometimes get corroded from the door being open.

    Do NOT switch between manual and auto with the key on or engine running. You are creating an unnatural shutdown. Even though it's momentary, it causes the relays to open and close which causes the diodes to soak up resulting voltage spikes. When you shut down properly, the ECUs are sequentially shutdown to allow the computers to go to sleep.
