Hi, I have a Volvo EW 160 B excavator . The engine starts and the machine is smooth but ENGINE WILL NOT REV UP I checked all the plugs and wires to ECU and TEU but no help . In manual mode the machines works but in Auto mode doesn't rev up with rotary knob and even doesn't crawl . It has a code of 128 PID 91 9. i will appreciate if you can please reply on my email [email protected]
You have no engine rpm request from the TECU through the VECU. Check all power supplies and grounds to the ECU's. Check all communication links between the ECU's. If all is OK with these then is possible that you may have a faulty ECU.
thank you for reply , can you please let me know the location of ECU . Is it the one behind the operator seat or the one in fuse compartment in front of the fuel tank . If i get the used one will it require Pin programming or not .
The TECU is by the panel with the relays. The VECU is on the back wall of the cab under the rear panel. I would strongly suggest troubleshooting the circuits before replacing the ECU's. It may be as simple as a blown fuse or a bad auto/manual switch or connector.
