Hey hef got another question machine moves when cold then seems to slip but feels and sounds like slipping clutch pack does transaxle have a clutch pack ? Machine has twin drive motors mounted to top of transaxle slips the same in all gears and both directions. Looked for parts breakdowns didn't come up with much is Volvo hard to get info on ? Also only seems to drive on front axle or should I say if weights off a front tire it spins out. Any info welcome thanks

The machine is fully hydro-static. The drive motors attach to the drop-box on the rear axle which drives the rear axle and the front drive shaft. No clutch packs involved. All speed changes are accomplished via changes in motor displacement. You will need gauges and probably a service manual.

Thanks Ben working on service manual did take few pressures will only build 2000 psi drive pressure someone has relief /crossover screwed in on pump. Do you know if the differential is normally open in back rear I would think it should have one wheel spin on each axle I was looking for exploded view of drop box does Volvo have online parts diagrams ? Guess I should pull filters and make sure hydrostatic system isn't coming apart. Thanks for reply

Locking diff is an option. You can tee into that hose and see if pressure is present and drops off when moving the switch. It uses charge pressure from the propel pump. You can probably get parst breakdowns printed from your dealer. Should be Highway Eq if you're in NEPA. If you talk real nice they may even print you off the transmission check procedure. It is pretty involved and will take a day to go over. Couple things to check before anything else is that you are getting full travel out of the throttle and full engine rpm's. And make sure the inching valve(pedal) is not partially stuck on/down. You can check control pressure at the transmission which is basically charge pressure. This will cause low propel power/speed complaints

Jack the rear, find which wheel free spins. Remove that hub assembly. You'll find the splined collar is probably broken in two. Relatively inexpensive comparatively speaking. Relatively easy job as well.
