Hi all, My employer is updating the fleet and might letting the old komatsu go down the road. Picture attached is a similar looking one. Machine has 8200 hours. Everything seems to function well. My main concern would be the transmission longevity, and parts availability. It would just be a toy for around the house. Thoughts? What would you pay for it?
I have one at my minesite with 10,000hrs on the meter and it just trucks along although the transmission is getting a little weak. I have noticed that they need to be overfilled on the dipstick to work properly. We paid $20k canadian 7 years ago for it.
They were great, back in the day. Very difficult to find parts for today. That’s the main concern.
