Can I please ask information about a WA900 loader. The H frame was put on stands to allow for bucket repairs. The machine was in for a service too and the hydraulic oil was accidentally drained while the frame was still on stands meaning the lift cylinders had a bit of oil in them.Is it possible to start this machine and put the bucket on the ground to properly drain the hydraulic oil or the tank need to be topped up first please before starting.
The tank was drained empty? If so, I'd refill. Since you know your boom cylinders are holding, try and rough guesstimate how much additional oil is in the cans and subtract that from your fill volume. You don't want to start without sufficient oil. Them gear pumps are unforgiving when it comes to cavitation.
Hydraulic tank should be filled to correct level and axial piston hydraulic pumps bled before starting engine. If the hydraulic tank isn't filled to a level that will allow the hydraulic pump cases to be bled, meaning hydraulic level higher than top of pump case, can expect minimum of pump life being shortened up to heavy wear leading to catastrophic pump failure caused by lack of lubrication between piston pump components. My suggestion fill the hydraulic tank bleed pumps or figure out another way to lift boom arms off stands and lower to the floor.
