What is the 2nd fusible link for on an ex135ur

Shelles6433 · 2019-06-27 13:52

Hello. My name is Sue and we own a hitachi ex135ur. It appears the battery relay has a fusible link for positive and negative. The positive link is a red live hanging wire. Anyone know what that hooks up to. Unable to find in the manuals. Any help appreciated as ours suddenly wouldn’t turn over this spring and we opened it up to try to find out why. Worked fine when it was parked in the fall. We have tested voltage and it seems the battery relay system is working. Ugh....lol...thanks.

Both wires are positive, one the battery side of the disconnect and the other on the alternator side of the disconnect. Each one feeds a fuse block. One is hot all the time while the other is only hot when the disconnect switch is closed.

Found the disconnected wire to the second fusible link...walaaa....it started...yay. Now gotta find out why boom has a problem but I tested the fuse box and get no juice to fuse 9 and 10 which is the control box. May need a new fuse box unless I find out they are not connected. There is an e on the monitor and the boom won’t raise or lower, the offset will go right but not left and the boom angle will go up but not down. Everything works with override switch. Any assistance or ideas would be appreciated!
