Just bought a ford 555B (i think) Can someone please help me verify model and year please. Here is a photo of the service tag;
Your Unit No. is broken down as follows: 6:1986 B:February 10:10th B=Day Shift So, that would make your tractor manufactured 02/10/1986. 555B-s were manufactured beginning July 1985 so I think you are correct as to model and year. That's about all I can tell you quick. If you log onto Yesterday's Tractors and ask for verification in the FORD discussion section someone will be able to give you a better answer. Hope that helps.
