I have a Cat D3G 2005 Dozer. Where is the fuel pump? Does it push fuel to the engine from the tank or does it pull fuel from the tank? Thanks.
open the right side back door by the batteries it's the little plastic bit on top of the fuel filter it's electric no priming needed when working turn key on it will tick they do fail sometimes
I understand now. The electronic pump on top the fuel/water filter is the fuel pump. I was confused with the fuel injector pump which in mounted on the engine. The pump on top of the filter them must pull the fuel from the tank vs fuel pumps sometimes being in the tank. Right.
