Where are vin numbers typically on a loading shovel. It's a 1991 furukawa loading shovel. Are they generally only on a plate or are they stamped somewhere on the machine itself. I found the plate with the serial number but cannot find the vin number so help appreciated. This is a Japanese loader very similar to a komatsu wa180 loader
17-character PIN Numbers on equipment only became mandatory around 2000 IIRC. Therefore a machine built in 1991 would only have a Serial Number Which you have already found.
