    It worked didn't it? Did you notice that the volvo or Akerman Excavator in the back had a cable going to the Hitachi to keep it from taking a dip. Someone was thinkin:cool2

    There is so many things wrong in that operation....the mind boggles. The guy walking around at the back next to the wire between the two excavators just deserves to lose his head.

    Not that its much safer, but wouldnt you at least turn that hoe in the back and tie the cable to the undercarriage? If that hitachi started going in, I dont think that cable would have helped all that much!

    Immediate thought with that is, somebody has to go in the water to attach a line, and how heavy is what you are trying to recover to guage what size crane you need. Would the price of the scrap cover the hire. Yes saw that, ruined a good photo oppertunity That stupidity is quite frightening, but what a lot of us have to be aware of everyday. Must admit I would have spun the undercarriage as he had no pulling power as he is sat unless the bucket is up against a manhole lid
