Will a 16H cab fit on a 16G?

TerryG ยท 2012-05-27 12:47

We recently purchased a 16G, and are wanting to replace the tall cab with a low-profile erops. Has anyone ever put an H cab on a G-series grader? Thanks for any info

Never heard of an H cab on a G, but that is not to say it won't work. Why not a low profile G series cab? I am pretty sure they came both ways, and a G cab might be available from a used parts outfit.

They do have a low cab for the G, I just happened to find an H cab. If I could find a late model G cab, that would be great. Thanks

H cab (6ZJ or ATS prefix) won't fit on a G. The front frames are different and so are the cab mounts. The 93U-prefix 16G cab is basically flat across the bottom and uses 4 bolts each side at the front plus one each side at the rear. The H cab mounts on 2 different levels with 2 large bolts each side at the rear and only 1 each side at the front. As Jerry says maybe a low-profile G cab might be had from a used parts outift.

Terryg, go to machinerytrader.com left side go to: Find parts/ attatchments, click on find parts, select cab erops, insert 16g in model, you will find one unknown if it low profile in ky- call them, if that doesn't work go to dismantled machines call everyone with a 16g listed starting with the newest date posted to oldest..............theironoracle

With enough time and money anything works. The impossible only takes longer and costs more.

I don't think it will fit. but again...... all it takes is money!!
