found some unique pieces up in Bradford County today. they are putting up 67 windmills and there is still a ton of natural gas exploration going on as well.
great pics pullpan, keep them coming!:drinkup
The GC said that there is @ 360 yards of concrete in the windmills foundation. its @ 8ft thick.
Hey Pullpan, do you have any info on how that padding attachment on the track loader works? Looks like two side fines conveyors. Does the larger material go over the back and between the tracks in a windrow?
trucks lined up getting ready to frac a gas well
Who is the excavating contractor on that job? I saw a Hawbaker sticker on that A40D.
i believe there are many in the area, but yes Hawbaker is up there. I also saw Wondra as well (lowboy)
we talked to the GC about it. he said it clogs up when it is wet, but what screener doesn't. but they conveyors on each side, you can pick which on you want the good material to run out of. The larger material goes to the opposite side to be used as backfill. Neat looking machine for that application, i bet it does fairly well when it is dry.
Nice pics pullpan. Are you working up there now? They got a few windturbines outside of Centralia too, not sure if they are done or continuing along the ridge further south. Photos don't do them justice though, cause those things are hella huge.
The track loader screens the windrows left by the trencher right? What do the do with the fines windrow when there done backfilling?
I've been around those Ozzies padders before. The fines conveyor is the only one. It is like a trencher, just one reversable conveyor, and you can shift it to either side. The oversize just rolls over the top, and then the machine runs over it. On this version, known as a "mini", the feeder is the screen, see the mesh in the picture. On the larger ones, there is a feeder then a seperate screen. The overs then fall behind, and do not have to get ran over. As long as it is not too sticky, they work great. Thanks for that link Jerry, I have never encountered anything like that and was struggling to understand what the hell it was for. :notworthy
