    I saw an engine similar to that in diesel power magazine that they said was used in cruise ships.

    There's where all our fuel is goin' let's ask the cruise lines to shut down so we can dig! In all seriousness that thing is huge. wonder how many 55 gallon drums of oil go in the crankcase? Makes topping off a dozer seem minor.

    On about the same note. I was reading an article today that said the ocean liner Queen Elizabeth II gets 49 feet per gallon.

    We have two 6000hp Diesel generators at work (Nuke plant, sorry no pics), by far the most impressive piece of equipment we have. From cold start, they are capable of picking up load 10 seconds after start and increasing load every 5 seconds until all essential load(7.2kv bus)is picked up. They run about 500rpm
