Looking for feedback from anyone with over 10,000 hours on a DOC only machine.Im looking at purchasing some new equipment with 75hp engines and keep them around well past 10,000 hours. Id like to know if the DOC needs cleaning or replace and any other negatives that impact the way you have to operate the machine? Right now im looking at 6-10 ton machines from Bobcat and JCB. These will be my first owned emissions era machines. Thank you
DOCs have been around since way before T4 made everything generally crazy. Even back into the 90s some light stuff had a DOC. I now work on generators which are chronically underloaded. They have their problems, but DOC does not seem to be one of them. Anything with just a DOC will always have a massive amount of EGR to compensate for the lack of DEF though.
Thanks for the Info. My newest machine right now is 2001. I know it doesnt have any form of exhaust filtering and pretty sure it doesnt even have EGR. What are the hours you see on DOC equipped engines you service?
