Need a little help with park lock system, found left side cable and mount had broken off chain case and was dragging on ground, got under machine to inspect and could see inside chain case, looks like sprocket that park shaft would engage has moved, inside hole is scored. After reassembly could not get either park brake to hold, do not know much about this system but it seems like something has gone wrong, lol, any help or diagrams would be a great help, thanks
Do the pins move in the bores easily? When you move the safety bar do you feel the cables compress the springs or are they tight?
when moving safety bars the cables are slacked, feels like the pins will not engage sprocket/gear inside case, have a feeling something bad happened to brake steel cylinder off chain case, how far will park sprocket move ?
I am guessing that someone moved the loader and forced the chain sprocket (with the latch holes in it) past the pin and broke the boss loose. It depends on how much wear is in the linkages as to how far the pins move, but usually it only takes about an inch of movement for the pins to clear the sprocket.
is it possible for sprocket to move away from lock pin bores and stay there?
I suppose anything is possible but the sprocket is the first reduction for the chains, and to move that much i would think a bearing would have to be bad. That said you would notice other problems such as loose chains and noises also. Look at this link, it shows an exploded view. http://www.colemanequip.com/Case-18...IVE-LINE-GEARS-AND-CHAINS-nFit/?#partdiagrams
