Hi Guys! This ol **...I have to rebuild the steering cylinders. Need to get them off first. The rod end...at the end of the steering cylider...it has a big screwdriver slot in it. Is this to turn it out...or do we take these out the same as any automotive style tie rod end? Thanks! Russ
Thanks for lookin guys...I got them off. They come off like any other tie rod end.
Does your cylinders look simple to take apart? Not really sure what design Massey used on steer cylinders. BTW, that screwdriver slot tie rod you described sounds like the old school adjustable ball joints. As the would wear and get slack in them, you could turn the screw in and tighten them up, then put cotter pin back in.
