1971 International crummy after 40 years in the berry bushes.

We had been looking for a 1969-1975 International D-Series Travelette (crew cab) short bed 4x4 for a long time and finally found one this summer simply by being in the right place at the right time. Thanks to Bill Ziesel from Shirley, B.C. for telling us about a fellow in Metchosin that had a collection of Internationals that were not advertised for sale. This truck originally belonged to Malloch & Moseley Logging and appears to have been Bill Malloch's personal pickup and later on Paul Auringer's. The truck was well equipped from the factory with a 392 V8, automatic transmission, HD Dana 44 front axle with Tie Rod Protector, Deluxe Exterior Trim, Chrome Front Bumper, West Coast Mirrors, Cab Lights, Sliding Rear Window, Tinted Glass, Custom Interior Trim in Dark Green, Bucket Seats, Air Conditioning, AM Radio, Power Steering & Brakes. The truck came from the factory with two-tone paint, School Bus Yellow with an Alpine White roof. I assume Len Barkley International in Victoria, B.C. painted the areas around the windows white and the hood dark green, Malloch & Moseley's colours, before the company took delivery of it. The truck had the factory fleetside bed on it until sometime in the early 1980s when it was replaced with a loggers box because it was it rough shape. We plan on doing a complete restoration in Malloch & Moseley's colours once we find an original short fleetside bed for the truck.

Looks to be in great shape considering where it was stored!

Yes it's better than we had expected. We have collected a lot of good replacement panels so the restoration won't take as long as it would if we had to use the original ones.
