I recently acquired a 1974 JD 510, and it has some wear problems between the boom and the dipper. I need to disconnect it, preferably just the dipper. Just because I think it will be easier to reconnect. The boom and dipper were only held together by a makeshift pin. But I can't get the tapered pins (#9) or tapered sleeves (#8) out from the cylinder connection points. Do I need a special tool, or just a different technique? I have circled different areas for reference. View attachment 175779 View attachment 175780 Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks
I think I found out how to do it. Now just to see if it works...
