My landlord has this multi valve spool that connects under a joystick and one of the o-rings are leaking. Can anyone here tell us how to remove a spool from the housing? His mechanic son-in-law over the phone told him the spools can pull right out yet they seem to be firmly fastened somehow in housing. He said they sometimes the brass colored round part turns 1/4 turn then pulls out. They turn yet will not pull out. Unfortunately we don't have a service manual and he really wants to fix it himself, Any quick help would be much appreciated.
Remove the universal joint, then the retaining plate can be removed. They have o-rings on the outside of the bronze bushings, they will come out one way or another!
And don't get the springs mixed up! Do one at a time if possible.
