1999 Champion 720A

Logman ยท 2009-12-27 13:10

Here's a few pics of the 1999 Champion 720A we recently bought. State of Alabama bought it new (likely was "orange") and had it repainted yellow before selling it at auction. (Whoever did the paint job really did an outstanding job.) It only had 1977 hours on it when we bought it. It is literally like new. Thought some of the Champion guys on here might like seeing it...

They are a nice machine. We have two 99's in my area. Your grader looks to be in excellent condition.

A lot of people are buying ex county machines now and trucks.Very low hours.I know a company here that buys at State and county auctions.About all he has to do is a little touch up.Then sells them. The price he pays for them is dirt cheap too.

Same story up here. The Province is buying used municipal machines. They are in excellent shape and normally just off warranty.

It is getting hard to find a good CAT Machine since CAT has the buy back program.

True Tim...lol...! No Grader, they have their own equipment and are pretty well equipped. How about there?

We do our own with the exception of the TCH (4 lane) which is contracted out. I'm not sure what the future holds though...

I don't see any change coming here soon unlike Alberta for example where it seems as though it's mostly contracted out.
