Feel like we are chasing a ghost with this one. My go to excavator is struggling lately. Things replaced so far. Fuel lift pump, injector pump, new wiring harness( from battery compartment to engine compartment),new crank sensor, cleaned out fuel tank, and have replaced fuel filters multiple times. New air cleaner new hydraulic filters. It’s seems like every time I do something new to it it helps and I think the problem is fixed and then boom here it it again. I have no active service codes now. Symptoms are will start and run great and the. After it warms up it just wants to die. Doesn’t seem to matter if it E,P,Hp When it. Decides to de rate it does. Sick of throwing money after it butI am desperate. Dealer can’t come check it out for a few weeks bu to have to finish this job now. Any help would be so much appreciated. Thank you in advance? ECU?? Or just still a fuel delivery problem?♂️
Welcome to HEF T-Bone ! Let's start with the complete machine serial number.
FF200CX504245 Thank you
Sounds like a fuel delivery issue. That machine has a DE10 stanadyne injection pump. They usually give you mid rpm misfires when they start to go (but I see you replaced it so that should be a non-issue). The ECU's on the early machines were problematic, but they also produced misfire issues when they started to fail. Does your machine ever exhibit a misfire? Did you check the fuel tank vent? Loosen the fuel cap when the issue starts happening to see if it resolves it. All the fuel lines in good shape (could be collapsing internally)? No debris plugging the fuel lines or fittings? Fuel pressure checked when stalling situation occurs? When it wants to die, does it want to do that on its own, or only when you work a function? Need as much detail as possible.
