2004 international 4200 dt365...wont shut off and blows 5 amp fuse...

    Vt 365 which 5 amp fuse is it?

    I believe its the ecm fuse over the d/s wheel fuse box

    The key signal for shut off goes through the ecm on those....havent worked on one in years. Sounds like you have a short somewhere on that circuit..usually it is the idm and or ecm relay shorted closed. They are usually of the firewall beside the ecm

    commen problem....wires harnees looks great...truck has 30,000 on it...changed the relays...seen this before on every fourm....never saw the answer...thanks for your help

    Oh man...sorry about your luck....it is one of those 2 circuits usually. If you get it running and turn key off....pull of relay at a time....if it turns off we will know what circuit has short.....if a lot of salt and grim got into your fuse box on fender....there can be a short on bottom side of fuse box....now the chasing of problem begins...again sorry about your luck. These are the jobs i hate the most...i usually call my mech at this point.

    I know this is old did you find issue? Have the same issue, unable to find short, new relays.
