We are replacing the worn out pins and bushings for our 160 and was wondering if there are aftermarket suppliers that make a quality product that is a bit cheaper and possibly even better quality than OEM?
Google the part #'s and aftermarket will show up. Bought parts for my 892 JD that way. A place in Texas had the best deals for quality parts. John
Is the quality the same or better than Hitachi? And what was the pricing like? We are looking at $3,000CAD from Hitachi.
Half to a 1/3 of dealer. Quality was good. Did notice one seal supplier had a thinner seal than the other but both worked fine. Pins look and are as heavy as OEM. Google your part #'s. YMMV, John
We never ordered dealer undercarriage parts as a dealer unless it was a warranty job. Plenty of confidence in aftermarket
On my machines I have had great success making my own pins and bosses for a fraction of the dealer prices. I but the pin stock from Metal Depot, cut to required length then have a machine shop bore them for grease fittings. I use the high strength stock at 80,000 PSI yield strength.
