2013 cat 262c

Hi. I have a 2013 cat 262c Everything was good running my grapple bucket. Changed a hose ans now I don't have any pressure at the fittings. It's not even making the sound it makes when you hit the trigger and the machine bogs alittle bit sending pressure the the couplings. The machine is new to me and not to sure where to begin There is a yellow triangle with an explanation point in it not sure that that means maybe nothing at all. Appreciate it if anyone has any leads. Thanks alot Mark

    Hello & welcome. Please start by posting a machine Serial Number. There are a couple of different models of 262C to choose from. A hose on the machine or a hose on the grapple bucket.? Any chance you ran the hydraulic tank dry when the hose burst.? That's a warning from the monitor system. Is it on solid or flashing.? One of the first things you should do IMO is get an Operation & Maintenance manual for it. They can be downloaded from the Cat Publications website or alternatively you can buy them on CD or a paper copy. CD's are the cheapest at the moment - $49 + S&H. Again, getting hold of the correct manual is Serial Number dependent.

    Thank you for responding. I can get serial number this morning. It was a hydraulic line on the grapple and the indicator light is Solid light not flashing.

    How much hydraulic oil did you lose.? The Alert indicator solid tells you to look for other indicators also lit up. If there are none the manual says "If no additional alert indicators are illuminated, contact your Caterpillar dealer or refer to the service manual." That's a lot of help...........

    Thankfully only alittle. It didnt blow I changed it before it blew. No others are illuminated. That is my next step is to contact cat. Thank you for the help. Just weird it was all fine then the light comes on and not nothing

    Unfortunately, unlike newer machines, there is no operator access to diagnostics on your machine that can be used to help troubleshoot any problems. It needs Cat ET hooked up to it. The dealer is not your only option BTW. If you can find a local independent mechanic who has Cat ET that would work just as well.
